My serious interest in dogs began in the 1960's when I started exhibiting and breeding Rough Coated Collies under my 'LOCHMABEN' prefix, enjoying considerable success and breeding my first All Breed ' Best in Show' winner, CH. LOCHMABEN GOLDEN GLOVE.

After gaining my Working Dogs Judge's ticket I soon realised my favourite challenge was breeding and exhibiting and I did not renew my license.

My first Rottweiler "Elsa' captured my heart and the hearts of all who met her and thus commenced my love affair with the 'Rottweiler'.

My 'SAHNE' prefix was established in 1975.

One of my Australian imports was a wonderful dog named 'Yago' ( BIS.BISS.CH. JAGERSIEGER FUEGO ), a grandson of the great " Nero vom Schloss Rietheim".
Sadly Yago died suddenly just short of his 'Grand Champion' title.
Yago,s daughter, SAHNE WHICH WITCH, became a pivotal foundation for SAHNE when she produced ( in her only litter sired by 'Amer.Ch. Beaverbrook Kaiser Big Creek ) GRAND CH. SAHNE ICE MAN, CH. SAHNE COOL CONNECTION and AUST.& N.Z. CH. SAHNE COOL BEAVER.
These three dogs feature behind almost every SAHNE dog today.

STRIVING FOR CORRECT TYPE AND TEMPERAMENT, we have had an exciting journey along this road with many wonderful dogs and bitches representing this small kennel in both the obedience and conformation rings.

We have imported frozen semen from top International bloodstock and also exported excellent representatives of the breed to the U.S.A. These dogs have to date produced numerous U.S.A.Champions and 'In Show" winners.
