Burwell Kennels is located in the Waikato on our own little lifestyle block, where we get to enjoy rural living away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier won my heart over many years ago. Staffords are full character, tenacity, affection.... add to that their endearing can-do attitude and you have an incredibly versatile dog that has the ability to easily fit into most family homes.
Our beautiful girls - Pearl and Connie May, are our Stafford team, along with our two rescue dogs... Daisy & Wilma. It's this fabulous pack of well balanced dogs that help raise every litter we produce with correct socialising and learning how to be a good canine citizen.
Burwell Kennels not only breeds exceptional Staffords, but as a dog trainer I am passionate about getting all of our puppies off to a great start. Training starts here at home with crate training, toilet training and human handling plus training support for you and your puppy once you take puppy home.
All of our Staffords are fit and healthy, eat a clean healthy diet (a lot of which we grow ourselves) and get plenty of exercise to keep them all in tip top condition. They have all have clear health tests (using Orivet) which are available to view. Temperament is really important and all of our foundation breeding dogs have exceptional temperaments... they are social, friendly, confident, respectful and playful. They are a team to be proud of!

Our girl Pearl... our pied beauty ♥
Pearl is everything you want from a Stafford and more... she is social, smart, easy to train, loves human company, loves food (hard to say which one she loves more) and is up for any adventure at any time. You only have to rattle the car keys and she is there.
Pearl is the kind of dog you can take anywhere.... whether you're at the local farm shop, cafe or park.... you know she is a solid and reliable dog in all environments. Her temperament is just beautiful and that is so important to us here at Burwell.
Pearl has given us two beautiful litters, and is now looking forward to a more relaxed role of just mooching around the farm with her sisters ♥

Our Connie May is such a sweet soul. Connie is our keeper puppy
from Pearl's first litter and wins the hearts of everyone she meets....
she's smoochy with a hint of mischief. She loves her farm life running
around and eating stuff she shouldn't!
Her
food drive would rival that of a Labrador but this has made her
training easy as she will do aaanyyythinggg for food. Connie May loves
humans, dogs, the beach, the shops, actually pretty much everything in
life! She's what we would call a good all-rounder ♥
Connie is expecting her first litter, due mid January. Our homegrown Burwell stud is a much-loved family dog... temperaments are always our first priority and Connie & Cooper are the full package. Our boy Fletcher is just a young cheeky chappy! At just 5 months old the world is his oyster ♥
Fletch loves pretty much everything in life! His family, farm adventures, food, tug-o-war, cuddles... everything. He is a big softy who is winning everyone over with his big Stafford smile and his happy-go-lucky attitude.
We're looking forward to watching this guy grow up!
