COVID-19 POLICY
Key Dogs NZ COVID-19 Policies for Events
Dogs New Zealand Executive Council reviewed the current Championship Show Policy in light of the recent Government changes to the COVID-19 Traffic Light Protocols and the phased opening of the borders:
- All affiliated and associated conformation clubs will be allowed to hold two Championship Shows from 1 September 2022 onwards.
- All clubs will revert to the published five-year show calendar from 1 January 2023, and the show year will be the calendar year (January-December).
- All affiliated and associated conformation clubs will still be required to hold at least one Open Show per calendar year. Any exemption must be approved by Executive Council.
- Benefit shows will be allowed from 1 January 2023 onwards
- The Vaccine Mandate no longer applies for any Dogs NZ shows or events
- You can operate without capacity limits, both indoor and outdoor
- For indoor events of over 500 people, it is recommended you have a capacity limit based on one metre distancing
- You do not need to wear a face mask; however, face masks are encouraged for indoor events
- Customer-facing workers, such as those operating food & beverage services, must wear a medical-grade face mask (unless the worker is exempt)
