der Ingolsta kennels are dedicated to the German Shepherd breed, we have been a member of the NZ Kennel Club since 1976 and bred our first litter in 1980 and have a reputation of breeding quality animals with superior temperament and show lines.Excellent for show, agility, obedience and great family companions for all ages,
Our aim is to attempt to better the breed in all aspects, which means, continually importing quality NEW proven bloodlines, ( as our gene pool is so small in NZ, ) this, then should prevent any problems that inbreeding can cause.
All our breeding stock go thru an extensive Veterinary examination which includes x-raying hips and elbows and DM testing with Full DNA Profile. These x-rays are then sent to Australia to go thru the process of being scored and approved for breeding.
We live in a country environment therefore the puppies have access to free running in there up bringing, they are reared on a Royal Canin which is a Quality Super Premium Dry formula and is a total balanced food and certainly gives them the excellent start in life that they require. They also go thru a full Veterinary check, vaccination and tattooed and Microchipped prior to leaving us to go to their new homes.
Our very first German Shepherd we owned was 1967 was a full working animal on a farm that had pedigree jersey bulls, milking cows and sheep and she loved the challenge everyday working with the stock on the farm.
In 1976 we purchased our very first show dog which was more of the family's very best mate than a show dog, but he used to love to get out and strut his stuff in the ring and he certainly got us really hooked into the breed

Litters Expecting
We are very pleased to announce that we have a very exciting litter confirmed. CH: der Ingolsta Take n Time (Tessa) She is made up as a Champion in the all-breed ring and also graded VG Select as a youngster, and Excellent in the Specialty Ring. She has been mated to our new Import from Germany CH; RAGNAR von ARLETT. Ragnar with his very short time in NZ has now 12 Challenges which makes him a Champion in the all-breed ring with DOGSNZ (NZKC), and under Specialty Judges has been graded Excellent many times. Both animals have Excellent character and Temperament. Babies due to whelp mid-July 2024.Tessa is a full litter sister to der Ingolsta Tookachance (Tarra) and Tarra has 5 Babies of her litter in the show ring and these have been taking in Show awards at Specialty shows as well as Groups in All Breeds.

CH DERINGOLSTA TAKE N TIME
We are really excited to announce the arrival of Tessa's ( CH; der Ingolsta Take N Time) Stunning litter, The Sire is Ch; Ragnar von ARLETT. Ragnar was imported in New Zealand from Germany and in his short time here he has been able to gain his Championship title in the All-breed ring along with many Group Placings and Multi Excellent grading in the specialty ring. Ragnar is a son of one of the top producing animals in Germany, Wacron del Rione Antico who was place VA 8 at the 2022 WUSV Sieger show in Germany. Wacron has now many winning son and daughters thru out the world. Ragnar is a registered Stock Coat male that is a very Rich black and brown in Colour and carries the long stock coat gene. Tessa is a Stock Coat and also carries the long coat gene, which means we are lucky enough to have a mixture of LSC 's and SC puppies as well as Very Dark Black and Gold Sables and Black and Brown puppies Available.

Garry and the kids have been exploring in the bush
didn't seem to find much, rabbits must have gone into hiding so had to settle for just a few pine cones, but all seemed to enjoy the fun anyway.
We periodically do have available ex show animals that are up for adoption with excellent temperment and willing to please.
