Waitohu Golden Retrievers is located in Otaki (about one hour's drive north of Wellington). Our dogs are primarily pets, the latest in a long line of golden retrievers we have owned over thirty or more years. The dogs live with us in our home on a five-acre lifestyle block and are taken out every day for adventures at our nearby rivers, beaches and forests.
Building on the work of Keridale and Mistymoor Kennels, our aim is to breed healthy, confident, happy golden retriever puppies that will make great family pets but also be suitable for obedience/agility/canine therapy training and/or the show ring.
All our dogs are registered with DogsNZ and all are fully health-tested. They have good hip and elbow scores, clear eye tests (done annually) and clear heart checks. All have had comprehensive DNA testing for inheritable disorders.Phone: 027 477 6401
