Otago Southland Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club


The Otago/Southland Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club Inc. was started in 1973 and celebrated their 40th Jubilee in 2013 at Queens Birthday Weekend in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand with two Championship Shows with an entry of 77 Cavaliers with exhibitors from Auckland to Invercargill. The Club celebrated their 50th Jubilee with two Championship shows on Kings Birthday Weekend June 2023 with an entry of 61 Cavaliers with exhibitors from Auckland to Invercargill. The Judges were Marian Mynott 'Honeybet Cavaliers' UK on Saturday and Judge Gary Heyden 'Parov Cavaliers' Aust.

Our next Open show will be held at Southland Kennel Assoc. Exhibition Centre in conjunction with their Championship shows 29th October 2023 with Judge Karen Leslie 'Azzaro' on Saturday 6 November 2021.

Club Activities

The Otago/Southland Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was formed in 1973 to promote the exhibition and breeding of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. We hold two championship shows at Kings Birthday Weekend in Dunedin. Our member base consists of pet owners and breeders/exhibitors
