The Association's zone of influence is from the Waitaki River south to Bluff. Formed in 1975, one Foundation member, Alwyn Isaacs is continuing to serve as Committee member; and an original applicant for Incorporation in 1977, Valerie Wells, served as President for more than twenty years, presently holding the position of Immediate Past President. To support the training of judges, assist new exhibitors learn ring procedure and give breeders the opportunity to train promising puppies,the Association is the only All Breeds Club in the area holding regular, well attended Ribbon Parades. A successful addition to the event programme has been the non-competitive, midyear Fun Day where everyone can relax and enjoy each other's company. New members are warmly welcolmed and should contact the Association's President, Carolyn Lewis

Club Activities
The Southern Ladies Kennel Association hosts two back to back Championship Shows at Forrester Park Exhibition Centre, Norwood Street, Dunedin, each year in early December. The Otago Southland Hound Club share our show weekend with us. The club also holds 4 Ribbon Parades a Match and Fun Day (for Pure Breed Pets) during the year.
