About Me

I began the exciting, rewarding (and often humbling) sport of dog training way back in the 1970’s at the Auckland German Shepherd Club with a rogue German Shepherd, who I eventually represented Zone 1 with at my first ever NDTA. Although this was a somewhat shattering experience (we only got 3rd and everyone else in the team won) my passion for dog training grew and while in Gisborne in the 1980’s I began my judging career and gained my first Ob.Ch title with my German Shepherd Lani..



Since then I have travelled the country judging and competing and have thoroughly enjoyed meeting the wide range of interesting people involved in dog sport. I think we also learn something from every dog we love and work with.



Currently I live in Ashburton, am secretary of the Mid Canterbury Canine Obedience Club, and have two dogs. GrAgCh. Honey ADXG is a 12 year old TerrierX with a big heart, but she has also taught me much about not taking things for granted. Paddy is a red Border Collie, currently competing in Senior/Intermediate agility and Test B obedience.
