About Me

My involvement in dogdom started at age 8 and has continued on for the past 37 years. Involved with many breeds. The main ones being Boston Terriers, Beagles, Boxers, Whippets and Saint Bernards. Have also been involved in handling Dobermans, Akitas, Shibas, Beagles, Afghans, Border Terriers, Poodles and a few others to boot. I have been judging since my late teens and have not had the desire to do any further groups at this stage.

I have judged in most states of Australia and all over NZ. I love my judging and am still an exhibitor at heart. I spend a lot of time training people to show and train their dogs and are at present writing a book on the training, raising and showing of a show dog in Australasia.

Together with my parents we have bred 7 generations of BISS winners in the Bostons and over 80 champions. In my 3 breeds - whippets, bostons and boxers, I have bred and/or owned multi all breeds, specialty and group BIS winners all at championship level. I have handled/co-handled to Grand Championship 1 x beagle, 1 x Akita, 1 x Boxer and 3 x Whippets. The Devine/Valeska/Rossdhu partnership is responsible for champions in 5 countries, 5 overseas Grand champions and many dual Aust/NZ champions including one Aust Grand/NZ Grand Champion. I have been privileged to have been entrusted with top dogs from top breeders overseas and have campaigned them to success in NZ.
